International Women’s Day 2020 is on the 8th of March and it is the perfect day to celebrate the amazing females in your life. Think of your mother, auntie, sister or friend who has overcome challenges time and time again to be the best they can be. Each and every one of them is strong, so show them how amazing they are.
International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate the achievements women and men have made towards an equal world! The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is #EachforEqual, with the International Women’s Day brand promoting that “an equal world is an enabled world”. Essentially, we are all responsible for working towards a less biased world, each and every day. We decide to face challenges, and we may need help – but that’s okay, working together means we can reach our goals faster. The theme is also drawn from the idea of ‘Collective Individualism’, we are a whole, but our individual actions have an impact on our society and, collectively, we can make a difference.
For generations, women have had to fight for the rights we have today and still do. We strive for equality all year round and International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate all that has been achieved.
