Camborne Lodge is a seven bed terraced house situated in the heart of Gateshead. The home provides residential care for male and female adults with mild, moderate and acute learning disabilities, Down’s syndrome and sensory impairments. Camborne Lodge is able to offer a caring service to people with high support needs, including tailored support packages to assist with activities of daily living and social inclusion.

Each resident at Camborne Lodge has their own bedroom. Two rooms have ensuite facilities and the remaining five have access to separate bathroom and toilet facilities. All residents have access to the kitchen, living room, dining room and laundry facilities. There is a patio area with seating to the front of the property and a yard to the rear.

Due to the layout of the property, there are limited accessible rooms at Camborne Lodge for people with mobility issues.

Residents are encouraged to make suggestions to the Home Manager to recommend any changes they would like to see in the home. They are also encouraged to become involved in activities within the home such as food preparation, cooking and laundry.

Residents at Camborne Lodge may require support for personal care. All residents have a personalised care plan which staff will work through. The plan contains information about the resident’s current abilities and also contains goals that they can work towards. They will be assisted by the staff team, with the aim of them becoming as independent as possible.

The staff team at Camborne Lodge is made up of a Registered Manager, Team Leader, Senior Support Workers, and Support Workers. All staff are adequately trained and fully qualified to fulfil their role within the home.
