Meadowbank provides supported living for adults with mental health disorders and learning disabilities, including challenging behaviour. The home can accommodate for up to 18 adults, either male or female. Most of the residents currently living at Meadowbank are over the age of 65 years, but the home does also care for people who have a learning disability and who may be below that age.
The accommodation at Meadowbank consists of 8 ensuite bedrooms, with kitchenettes. There are also three shared bathrooms, two warm and welcoming lounge/dining rooms and a large kitchen. There is a large patio to the side of the house with seating for use during the summer months.
The house has maintained its domestic appearance from the outside and inside it has a very homely atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to make their rooms as personal as possible and the rooms are respected by staff as the resident’s private space, and will not unnecessarily intrude. Meadowbank benefits from a number of physical adaptations including a passenger lift, assisted bathrooms, emergency call system and a number of aids to mobility in the home.
Residents are cared for using a person centred approach, and their well being and interests are at the forefront of our philosophy of care. Residents at Meadowbank are supported by a committed staff team. The home has a Registered Manager, Team Leader, Senior Support Workers, and Support Workers. All staff are adequately trained and fully qualified to fulfil their role within the home.
