Meadowfield is a five bedroom terraced house situated in the heart of Gateshead, providing residential care and transitional accommodation for adults with learning disabilities. The property can accommodate up to five adults, females only, and has a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Meadowfield is situated close to a wide range of local amenities so the residents are able to feel part of their local community.

The accommodation at Meadowfield consists of five bedrooms, four with ensuite bathroom facilities and a kitchenette. The fifth room has separate bathroom and toilet facilities. There is a large pleasant lounge area, dining area, a modern communal kitchen and separate laundry facilities. There is a patio area to the front of the property with seating and a yard to the rear.

Due to the layout of the property, there are no accessible rooms at Meadowfield for people with mobility issues.

Residents at Meadowfield may require support for personal care. All residents have a personalised care plan which staff will work through. The plan contains information about the resident’s current abilities and also contains goals that they can work towards. They will be assisted by the staff team, with the aim of them becoming as independent as possible.

We actively promote independence and involve everyone in a meaningful way to make decisions and choices about their home and lives. We also focus strongly on promoting fitness, exercise and a healthy lifestyle.

Residents at Meadowfield are supported by a committed staff team. The home has a Registered Manager, Team Leader, Senior Support Workers, and Support Workers. All staff are adequately trained and fully qualified to fulfil their role within the home.
